Hello. I am Yilong Zang (臧屹隆). Thank you for visiting!
I am now a second-year PhD student at PolyU SHTM. My supervisor is Dr. Hengyun Neil Li.
My research interests focus on the application of GNNs and LLMs to business survival prediction, as well as interesting and challenging hotel- and tourism-related tasks.
Prior to that, I was honored to work as a research assistant in the DSA group at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) under the supervision of Prof. Sebastian Vollmer.
I received my master’s degree from the School of Computer Science at Wuhan University in September 2023. During that time, I was supervised by Prof. Ruimin Hu and Prof. Zheng Wang as co-advisor. My master’s research task was graph-based fraud detection. I mainly analyzed new problems and patterns of fraudsters in graph data, and designed suitable GNN models to solve these problems.
During my spare time, I like swimming, fitness, and badminton.

- Jan 13 My first-author paper on restaurant survival prediction was accepted by The ACM Web Conference 2026. I sincerely thank my collaborators for their support and contributions.

- May 1 I officially joined PolyU SHTM as a PhD student.

- Dec 28One first-author journal paper about power relationship mining has been accepted by Expert Systems with Applications.
- Dec 10One first-author paper on the interdisciplinarity of biomedicine and graph anomalies has been accepted at AAAI 2025 with high praise from all reviewers.
- Oct 16I officially joined PolyU’s SHTM and started a full-time research assistant position.
- Jul 16Two coauthored papers were accepted by IJCAI 2024 and ACM MM 2024.

- Dec 1One co-authored paper about graph condensation was accepted by ICDE 2024.
- Nov 29On behalf of my team, I delivered a speech in the data application track of China Mobile’s Wutong Cup Big Data Innovation Competition, and won 2nd place nationally.
- Oct 15I officially joined the Department of Data Science and its Applications at DFKI as a remote research assistant.
- Jul 26One co-authored paper was accepted by ACM MM 2023.
- Apr 20My paper was accepted by IJCAI 2023.
- Jan 18My first academic paper was accepted by IEEE ICC 2023.
